Coryn Rivera
Coryn's father, Wally, got her into the sport by riding tandems with him when she was 10. The following year, Coryn began to participate in the kid's races and was victorious. She was hungry for more and wanted to start racing on a regular basis. In her first USCF race she placed 2nd among the 10-12 boys and started to cry because she didn't win. She used that as motivation to win her first California State Championships. Coryn eventually went on to win 2 Jr National Titles by the end of the year. From then on her racing evolved and has become the most winningest junior in the United States. 2009 was her breakout year winning junior races with the USA National Team in Belgium and winning 3 pro criteriums, one of them being NRC. In her 8 years of racing, she has been developing to become a world-class cyclist. In 2011, she will no longer be racing as a junior as she will be racing solely as an elite racer.
